The rise of Meleeboys

We had been playing Call of Duty for a while when we noticed that there were quite a few enthusiastic players among our friends. This realization
led to the decision to form a clan of our own. The triumvirate (PellePeloton, MokoLoko and Pikku-Hitleri) started the clan (MeleeBoys) as a "fun" clan around october-november of 2003 in east-Helsinki.

The name of the clan originally came from Moko, but the decision to use it as our clan name was unanimous.
We of course started out at a pretty novice level playing Call of Duty. When Activision released United Offensive we naturally moved our
concentration to it.
Due to better support by Punkbuster and patches in general, extensive mods and other small reasons CoDUO has become a rather popular playground for us down the years. As the clan started to get older - and as more players kept joining - our activity has become more professional.
Our clan has been growing steadily and luckily we all seem to share the same sense of humor.

In the fall of 2005 CoD2 was released. We immediately rented a server for it with all the works. Our clan has been maintaining stats for UO from
june 2005 and for COD2 ever since it was released.
We have been developing the way our clan works steadily and we have strived toward equality between all of our likings. Both LAN-partys and Paintball matches have been - and will be - part of common clan activities.

We are also involved in activities outside COD. That being the case, as the best melee clan in Finland, if not the whole Europe, maybe even the
the whole world we will continue our operation till the unknown future. 

Meleeboys Historiaa

Olimme jo pelanneet Codia jo jonkin aikaa ja huomasimme että innokkaita pelaajia kaveriporukassamme on joten päätimme aloittaa Claanitoiminnan. Kolmen koplan (PellePeloton,MokoLoko ja Pikku-Hitleri) kokoon kyhäämä iloittelu Claani (MeleeBoys) sai alkunsa loka-marraskuun vaihteessa 2003 Itä-Helsingissä.

Claanin nimi sai alkunsa Mokolta mutta yhdessä sovimme sen sopivan Claanin nimeksi.
Alkuun toiminta oli noviisitasolla mutta silloin pelasimme Codia. Activisionin julkaistessa Cod United Offensiven siirryimme luonnollisesti siihen.
Parempien punkbustereiden ja patchien, modien ja muiden romujen vuoksi tästä on tullut meille suosittu leikkikenttä. Claanin saadessa ikää niinkuin pelaajia on toimintammekin alkanut olemaan ammattimaisemmalla tasolla.
Claanimme on kasvanut tasaisesti ja mikä mukavampaa Claanilaiset ovat samanhenkisiä toistensa kanssa eli huumorintajua löytyy.

Syksyllä 2005 markkinoille tuli Cod2 ja hetimiten otimme serverin myös tälle ja statsit + muut herkut. Claanimme on pitänyt UO statseja yllä kesäkuusta 2005 ja Cod2 statseja julkaisusta lähtien.
Claanin toimintaa olemme kehittäneet tasaisesti tarpeen mukaan ja olemme pyrkineet tasapuolisuuteen kaikkien mieltymyksien kanssa. Myös Lan-reissut kuuluvat Claanin toimintaan niinkuin paintball-matsit.

Kehitämme muutakin toimintaa kuin Codin pelaamista. Näin ollen Suomen kovimpana meletys porukkana ellei euroopan ellei koko maailman tulemme jatkamaan toimintaamme hamaan tulevaisuuteen.
